Society has a funny way of imposing stigmas, judgments, and ideals onto people, and we have a funny (read: human) way of absorbing those messages, personalizing them, then ultimately jumping out of alignment with our own values and interests in order to “please others” ... but uhhh, fuck that? Because why waste your life trying to ~behave~ in ways that can *potentially* make others happy or comfortable when you can’t even control another person’s perception of you anyway? You have so much to offer to the world by simply being yourself. So go post that thirst trap. Text your crush. Breakup with your racist friend, family member, or partner. Push yourself out of your comfort zone, then go back to it, recharge, and repeat. Scary? Maybe. Worth it? Abso-fucking-lutely. Promise.

Charleston, South Carolina is an awesome pit stop

Charleston, South Carolina is an awesome pit stop to help break up a four-hour drive from Savannah to Myrtle Beach. Oddly specific statement but that’s what my best friend and I did on our road trip back in 2018... so yeah.

During our brief time there, we explored the city market @chascitymarket, strolled along historic King Street, snapped basic bitch tourist pics of Rainbow Row and the Pineapple Fountain, and grabbed lunch at @butcherandbee (and were handed our checks in random novels which was a 10/10 surprise) — all pictured above. Ugh, I miss traveling.
